How does God see you? How do you see yourself? I often think back to a meeting that we had at our church sometime ago that had a profound impact on my life in regards to how I saw myself. She said to me you see yourself as a bird unable to fly, but God sees you as a great Amazon Bird. Study the birds. I laughed as the image she described was so very close to the image I had in my mind for a long time of a bird with one end of the rope tied to its leg and the other end of a rope tied to a stake. I so wanted to fly, but felt I couldn't even get off the ground more than a few feet at a time...I think of Gideon, hiding in fear in the wine press. His perspective of himself was off as well. God speaks, calling him the opposite of his actions. A mighty warrior and that is exactly what he becomes. How we see ourselves matters. How God sees us, changes us forever. Freedom to step into your destiny is yours. Now go study the birds. :)
